Usually, you can tell which fluid is leaking from your vehicle by its color. Transmission and power steering fluids are usually red. Transmission fluid can also appear orange if it’s older. Orange fluid can also be caused by rust working its way into leaking coolant or condensation. Coolant is generally yellow in color. Antifreeze is the most likely culprit if the fluid is green. Finally, brown fluid can either be older motor oil or brake fluid.
